We are absolutely delighted to share that our very first delivery of Milly Bags arrived safely at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff.
Up until now, Cardiff has been a plan. Funding applications, teams meetings, translated leaflets, logistics, delivery options… months of hard work behind the scenes.
Then yesterday, the moment these photos arrived, it all became very real. It was the moment we could finally say, “We are here.”
A huge thank you to the wonderful team on Rainbow Ward for giving our bags such a warm welcome. It was so lovely to receive these photos, along with a message that made us smile…
“We appreciate the gifts so much… especially the pens!!” (As a nurse, I can confirm that nurses absolutely love a good pen! )
Our Milly Bags are packed with love and filled with practical and comforting items to support children and their families during those overwhelming first days following a cancer diagnosis.
Knowing that families across Wales will now receive the same support that we have been providing across England for the last ten years is something we are incredibly proud of.
